One of my favorite quotes is by one of the most noteworthy and inspiring Asian figures in recent history, Bruce Lee. He stated that “If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done.” These are words that I live by every day, because I aspire to be a defining figure in my family tree. My passion is personally growing and becoming a better individual, who can create a legacy. Because of this, I have pursued varied activities (sports, music, volunteering) and have taken different paths in life to help me learn and participate in local, national, and international projects and activities.
Since I was 4 years old, I have been volunteering with a variety of organizations while doing different activities ranging from taking care of a horse ranch that helps individuals with special needs with physical therapy in the United States to teaching English to orphan boys in Peru to environmental advocacy and work with endangered turtles in Mexico. Through these activities, I have a strong desire to eventually create my own nonprofit organization that empowers individuals to break social norms and pursue different opportunities. In order to do this, I have laid out plans that encompass pursuing a career in Property & Casualty Insurance, while graduating a year early with my Bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Through the steps that I have taken so far in my life, I am confident in my future and my ability to help people all over the world.
