Calm, Consistent, and Transparent

It sounds so easy and idealistic to be calm, consistent, and transparent. In reality, there is a lot of work that goes into it. And possessing and practicing these qualities does not mean there aren’t a load of emotions, anxieties, and questions swirling around amid a placid seeming exterior. It is also not about holding on tight though, that is just a recipe for a blow up and self-loathing when an inevitable emotional upset or other triggering event happens. So then, where is the midline to developing the strength to be realistically in touch with emotions and needs AND be calm, consistent, and transparent. There must be ways…is it one and done or is it a constant exploration? is it a solo journey or a partnered collaboration with community? Perhaps it is somewhere in between and includes building systems - not only tangible task-based systems, but also emotional systems. If so, then, ok, how to do it and is it worth the time and personal investment???
