Miller McCord, California, United States

I was born and grew up in California, USA, with a mom, dad, and a sister and am an aunt to two college age nieces and nephews.

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at age twenty, and it is an integral part of who I am and how I show up in the world. My mental health journey and these connections have helped me to create a strong community of support, which I wish for everyone on the planet.

Throughout my career I have worked with a passion for showcasing the importance of human connection, dignity, and autonomy for anyone and everyone with different physical and mental health abilities. Most notably, I worked for Integrated Community Services (ICS), a nonprofit helping adults with disabilities with life skills and employment and helped the organization and its clients grow and flourish over the nineteen years I was there.

Mentorship has been incredibly beneficial for me, personally and in my career, as I have had wonderful mentors to guide me on my life journey and the opportunity to mentor and support others as well.

I am multilingual and have traveled throughout the United States on the east and west coasts and have traveled internationally to Italy, Croatia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Caribbean.

Music, sports, family, friends, and travel energize and inspire me, and my latest adventures include playing on several local soccer and tennis teams, sharing one on one time with family and friends, continuing to travel the world, and sailing the Caribbean islands and the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas with my partner.
